Hilary Ortega FNP-C PMHNP-BC is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner at New Age Psychiatry in Fort Lauderdale Florida. She works under the supervision of medical director Dr. Shlomo Pascal and strives to provide compassionate personalized care. In 2011 Hilary obtained her degree as a registered nurse and was instantaneously drawn to psychiatry. At the start of her career as a bedside nurse she cared for patients at their most vulnerable state which instilled in her values of protection and compassion for those in need. As a travel nurse she worked in various locations with diversified populations including veterans adults adolescents and geriatrics across the United States. To this day Hilary is still an avid lifelong learner and enjoys teaching others. As a dual-certified family nurse general practitioner and psychiatric nurse practitioner she is able to assess and comprehend the complex processes that may be influencing your health as a whole in order to best determine an appropriate treatment plan. Her ideology includes prolonging the quality of life by promoting healthy lessons and behaviors. Outside of work her hobbies include weight lifting cooking reading and spending time by the ocean with family and friends.
