I am the founder of Kaleidoscope Behavioral Health in Flower Mound Texas and have a passion for guiding my counselors and other professions who work with children and their families. This driving force has made me a sought-after counseling expert and business transformation leader. I am also known worldwide for my pioneering research on the effectiveness of Equine-Assisted Mental Health. As a published author and conference speaker I am considered a thought leader on tackling contemporary issues that both counselors and laypeople face on a daily basis such as teen suicide trauma anxiety depression parenting and navigating the emotional pitfalls of social media. I myself experienced a frightening and traumatic event as a passenger on the Carnival Triumph cruise ship that drifted for a nearly a week in the Gulf of Mexico. The ordeal gave me personal knowledge of what it means to suffer from post-traumatic stress. I am an avid organic gardener whose veggie and flower gardens provide me with a creative canvas to nurture my soul. I have been married for nearly 30 years and enjoy spending time with my husband daughter and son-in-law and I love being a grandmother to three beautiful and rambunctious grandchildren.
